Fuck Yeah, Electronic Music By Tumblr!
Since its launch, I noticed something that always put me in a weird situation: a lot of you folk want FYEM to post, promote, or plug your work. And I think that’s great! I’m flattered, really. But what I was always afraid of is that FYEM would become a general hub for people submitting their stuff, then I have to basically play favorites, which could potentially upset a lot of people if I didn’t post their stuff. But if I did promote everyone’s stuff, I fear FYEM may lose followers who simply interpret this as “spam.” So I just avoided posting stuff that would be seen as promoting.
And I thought, “why not create a hub that offers this?” So I did!
Fuck Yeah, Electronic Music by Tumblr! is a place where you (fellow Tumblr users) can submit your work, tell us about yourself, and even promote material, releases, Soundcloud stuff, etc. So head on over. I hope you check it out, submit your stuff, or maybe just follow it to support independent artists.
